Abstract

Biopolymers have the potential of adressing some of the problems associated with conventional plastic such as long degradation time and plastic pollution. Polyhydroxyalkanoates, PHAs are a class of biopolymers that have the properties of thermoplastic giving it the potential to replace fossil fuel derived plastic expecially the film packaging industry.
