Abstract
Petroleum sludge is a hazardous waste produced from the various process involved in petroleum refining and processing and its treatment process is very tedious and costly due to its varying physiochemical and chemical compositions. The most common method for disposal is through incineration, however this method pose environmental risk due to the hazardous components that could be found in the waste.
