Abstract

Bamboo is categorized as lignocellulosic biomass material that can be used to produce various environmentally friendly product such as biochar, bio-oils and biogas. Recently, intensive study has been done on various type of biomass in producing a variety of bio-product but limited study has been done to uncover the potential of bamboo, especially the one that easily grown in Malaysia either through cultivation or wild, in producing bio-oil through pyrolysis process.
