Abstract

The objective of this paper focuses on the creation of an application which enhances the way perfume enthusiasts discover and choose their dream scents, colognes, and perfumes. In order to solve the difficulties customers encounter while attempting to navigate the bewildering array of perfumes on the market, this study presents the creation of “Scentopia” as a Final Year Project. The programme streamlines the perfume picking process and directs users towards their ideal smell match by utilising cutting-edge algorithms, personalised scent profile, and user-friendly interfaces. The project's goals are to create a user-friendly interface, test the efficacy of the personalised ecommendation system, and develop personalised smell profiling capabilities. In order to improve user experiences, the study looks into user preferences and fragrance selection criteria through research and analysis. This research presents a comparative analysis that emphasises the unique qualities of Scentopia above other platforms in the market, highlighting its large database size, sophisticated recommendation algorithm, and high degree of personalisation. The research also looks into potential future projects, such as adding a visual search function, bringing the application to Android and other platforms, allowing for ongoing user feedback, and doing routine maintenance and updates. In conclusion, Scentopia represents a new and personalized approach to fragrance discovery, providing users with a curated and enjoyable perfume shopping experience. With its innovative features, user-centric design, and ongoing improvements.
