Abstract

The objective of this project, titled "Heritage Threads: Tailored Cultural Expression," is to develop an application that revolutionizes the way individuals explore and select traditional attire, such as Baju Melayu, Kurta, Dresses, or Baju Kurung, by addressing the challenges faced in navigating the diverse array of cultural garments. The creation of Heritage Threads" as a Final Year Project aims to streamline the process of selecting personalized traditional attire, leveraging advanced algorithms, personalized attire profiles, and user-friendly interfaces. This project's primary goals include designing a user-friendly interface, evaluating the effectiveness of the personalized recommendation system, and implementing personalized attire profiling capabilities. Through in-depth research and analysis of user preferences and garment selection criteria, this study aims to enhance user experiences and satisfaction. The research presents a comparative analysis highlighting the unique strengths of "Heritage Threads" over other platforms, including its extensive database, sophisticated recommendation algorithm, and high level of personalization. Additionally, future plans include integrating a visual search feature, expanding to Android and other platforms, incorporating ongoing user feedback, and conducting regular maintenance and updates to improve the application's functionality. In conclusion, "Heritage Threads" signifies a novel and personalized approach to exploring and selecting traditional attire, offering users a curated and enjoyable experience in celebrating cultural heritage through fashion.
