Abstract

Tuned EOS is used by petroleum engineers to predict the volumetric and phase behaviour of the reservoir fluids especially during the evaluation of newly discovered reservoirs and design and management of oil recovery projects during various stages of reservoir exploration. There are many articles in the literature which discuss the use of EOS to predict reservoir fluid properties. Peng –Robinson (1976) equation is the most widely used and accepted model for petroleum fluid properties. Several approaches are proposed in the literature for tuning EOS.
