Abstract

Interest in hydrochar production has grown due to its unique properties, benefits, and diverse applications. Hydrochar is a biomass-based activated carbon that can be produced through low-temperature hydrothermal carbonization (HTC) using palm kernel shell (PKS) as feedstock.
