Abstract

industry is one of largest industry in the world. One of the main concerns about the impact of textile industry to the environment is the quality of the wastewater released to the environment. The wastewater of textiles industries often having high Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) and high colour content that are need to be treated. The objective of this study is basically to find an efficient method of removing the colour content in the wastewater. The main method used is coagulation method, and we will try to find what other techniques that will work efficiently alongside coagulation technique. We will also find the optimum operating parameters for this method. After the experiment has been conducted, we will compare the method studied with current method used in the plant, to see which one is better, economically and environmentally. We will then suggest which method is the best to use.
