Abstract

The purpose of this project is to develop an online survey that can be used to
measure the services provided by specified departments in Universiti Teknologi
PETRONAS (UTP). This is an intranet based system that only can be accessed
within the campus area. All UTP students are required to participate in this UTP
Students Satisfaction Index Survey 2008 because they are the one who experience
the services that provide by these departments. After they choose the services that
they had experienced, they are required to rate the services provided by the
department that they bad chosen. Beside that this paper also discusses on reasons
why using online approach to conduct a UTP Member 2008 Index Survey is more
effective than paper and email surveys. This system uses PHP as a programming
language and Fusion Chart Software to represent the data that had been collected
through the survey.
