Abstract

The damaged dental implants are restored replacing with reliable bioimplants made of
polymers, ceramics and metals. The metallic dental implants produced by machining process
experience residual tensile stresses that lead towards cracks and corrosion. Powder injection
molding technique is capable of producing defect free intricate shape parts with minimal
secondary operations. In order to develop dental implant, four set of 316L stainless steel
formulations were designed.
