Abstract

Manufacturing variations continue to be one of the main challenges for manufacturers to achieve a faster manufacturing process and a high-quality product
especially for the component involved in the mechanical transmission system. Torque boosting device is an example of a transmission component designed to increase the
torque performance of a machine system, that need to be precise and low on variation. Currently, there are a limited number of studies that relate to the effects of
manufacturing variations on vibration, torque, and power output to optimize the variation of the manufactured product. This research focuses on the influence of
different geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) as well as material properties on vibration, torque and power output produced by the torque boosting device that
applied to chain drive system of Honda EX5 110cc motorcycle.
