Abstract

This study is a project that aims to develop reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) modelling on crude distillation unit (CDU), a critical component in the oil refinery sector that separates crude oil into its various components, such as naphtha, kerosene, diesel fuel, and heavy oil, by using discrete event simulation (DES) method to identify the critical equipment of it and thus recommend an action plan to improve its availability.
